Farrakhan to mark MMM anniversary in Charlotte
Nation of Islam leader the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan will speak in Charlotte on Sunday, Oct. 14 to mark the 17th anniversary of the Million Man March.
It was Farrakhan who called for black men from across the nation to come together in Washington, D.C. on Monday, Oct. 16, 1995 to demonstrate their willingness to shoulder the responsibity of imprioving themeselves and their communities.
Each year, Farrakhan reiterates the themes of the historic march during anniversary addresses. The topic of his Charlotte presentation is: “Muhammad’s Economic Blueprint: Ending Poverty & Want.” It will be given at the Bojangles Coliseum, 2700 E. Independance Blvd., beginning at 2 p.m. (though doors open at noon).
