Psi Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. celebrated its 2019 International Achievement Week with the theme of “When the World Calls, Omega Men Answer.”  On Thursday, Nov. 14, at Mount Olive Baptist Church, the men of Omega held their Achievement Week Banquet and Ceremony to award and recognize individuals who have impacted the Winston-Salem community over the past year.

The keynote speaker was Brother and Bishop Sherwood Davis. Awards were given for Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift, the fraternity’s Cardinal Principles, Citizen of the Year, Superior Service, Founders, two Omega Man of the Year awards, and Willing Vessel. Awards were also given for brothers who have been involved with Omega and or Psi Phi Chapter for over 50 years.

The banquet was the crown jewel in an event-packed week which included a Veterans Day breakfast, the packing of boxes in conjunction with Crisis Control, meetings, socials, our inaugural 5K mile/run for scholarship, and united church service at Mount Olive Baptist Church on Sunday, the 108th anniversary of the fraternity’s founding on November 17.

The Achievement Week committee was led by Brother Linwood Jerald.
