The Blue Chip Performer will be chosen weekly from all sports in season and will run throughout the 2012-13 UNCG athletics campaign.

Mason, a native of Stone Mountain, Ga. and graduate of Chamblee Charter,  led the Blue and Gold in scoring for the seventh time in 10 games this year, netting 21 points and hitting a career-high five three-point field goals against No. 23 Florida State. She also posted four assists and three steals. The Spartans nailed 12 triples in the game, tying a program single-game mark.

The rookie continues to lead UNCG in scoring average, netting 15.4 points per game and is the leading freshman scorer in the Southern Conference by a large margin. In fact, there are only two rookies in the top 30 of the league in scoring. Mason has hit 18 of 45 attempts from beyond the arc – good for 40 percent from range. She also leads the Spartans in assists (21) and steals (22).
