Greater Winston-Salem to host annual meeting
Greater Winston-Salem Inc. is excited to welcome the community to their upcoming annual meeting, presented by Novant Health. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m., with dinner and program to follow at 6 p.m. at the Benton Convention Center.
The annual meeting features Carl Armato, president and CEO of Novant Health. Armato leads Novant Health’s integrated healthcare system of physician clinics, outpatient centers, and hospitals across two states, generating over $8.3 billion in revenue and employing a dedicated workforce of nearly 40,000 team members.
“As we look toward Winston-Salem’s future growth and expanding workforce, the healthcare field presents unlimited opportunity here,” says Mark Owens, president and CEO of Greater Winston-Salem Inc. “I am excited to welcome Carl Armato to share insights about those opportunities and how Novant Health is a leader in the industry.”
Mark Owens and Cathy Pace, chair of the Greater Winston-Salem Inc. board of directors, will also deliver remarks. The event will celebrate our National Chamber of the Year award, driven by our 2030 Vision: to be the best mid-sized city in the Southeast, to be a more equitable community, and to be the best place to raise a family.
“At the annual meeting, we are excited to bring the business community together to celebrate outstanding individuals and companies, measure our progress, and look at economic opportunities on the horizon. This year, Greater Winston-Salem Inc.’s recognition as the National Chamber of the Year will make this event extra special,” says Cathy Pace.
The annual meeting also includes the presentations of the Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award, the Truliant Small Business Award, and the Allegacy Innovator of the Year Award.
The annual meeting is made possible by presenting sponsor: Novant Health, supporting sponsors: Duke Energy and Truliant Federal Credit Union; and gold sponsors: Allegacy Federal Credit Union, the Carolina Core, and the Winston-Salem Dash.
