Dr. Zellena Patrice Williams, a Forsyth County native, has accepted a permanent position as pharmacist with the Target Corp. in Towson, Md.

She is a 2012 magna cum laude graduate of the Hampton University School of Pharmacy, where she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

While at Hampton, she was a Tuition Scholarship recipient and a dean’s list honoree each semester. She also was awarded a Walmart Pharmacy Scholarship in recognition of her high academic achievement and interest in community pharmacy.

Williams was a member of the Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society, Student National Pharmaceutical Association, American Pharmacist Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

As a member of the Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Williams was selected as the Mid Atlantic region’s 2010 Leadership Fellow to the International Undergraduate Activities Committee and was awarded the 2012 Janet Jones Ballard Award for Undergraduate Soror of the Year.

Williams is a 2006 honor graduate of East Forsyth High School and the daughter of Charles and Mertice Williams of Kernersville. She is a member of Goler Metropolitan AME Zion Church.
