Timothy Melvin Jordan Jr. recently served as a North Carolina Senate page. He was sponsored by Sen. Peter Brunstetter (R-Forsyth).
Timothy is a student at Reagan High School and the son of Patsy and Earnest Squire Jr. North Carolina students in grades 9–12 serve as pages when the N.C. General Assembly is in session.
The pages saw state government in action, the everyday workings of the Senate and gained an awareness of the process and people involved in making laws. The student pages attended daily Senate sessions, committee meetings and assisted Senate staff members with office duties during the week.
