Continuing their theme of moving dramas about family and personal challenges for the2018-2019 production season, March 21 through 24 the NC Black Repertory Company is inviting the community to come see the on-stage production of Plenty of Time at the Hanesbrands Theatre, 209 Spruce Street.

Written by John Shevin Foster and directed by Jackie Alexander, Plenty of Time takes place in Oaks Bluff in the late 1960s. The production follows Christina and Corey two lovers from very different backgrounds. Christina is from an elite black family and Corey is a member of the Black Panthers.

Despite their obvious differences, they share a night of unbridled passion. The next morning, however, they form an even more intimate connection. Although they go on to marry other people, they commit to meeting on the same date annually to continue their affair.  Over the course of the next forty-three years, their relationship transforms as each person undergoes tremendous personal growth from constant social and political change.

Show times for Plenty of Time can be found on the NC Black Repertory Company’s website, www.ncblackrep.org. If you mention this ad you will receive $5 off the regular ticket price.
