Saint Augustine’s University has discontinued its men’s tennis program starting with the 2012-13 season, according to the school’s department of athletics.

Saint Augustine’s University now offers 15 sports in its athletic program. The men’s sports are baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf and indoor and outdoor track and field. The women’s sports are basketball, bowling, cross country, softball, tennis, volleyball and indoor and outdoor track and field.

Saint Augustine’s University participates on the NCAA Division II level and is a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

Leon Carrington will continue to coach the women’s tennis team. He guided both men’s and women’s teams for 32 years.
