Senior golfers host annual Blaylock Tournament
The 15th Annual James E. Blaylock Senior Golf Tournament was held Saturday, May 4 at Winston Lake Golf Course. The popular tournament is hosted by the Winston Lake Senior Golf Association, which is led by president James Streater. This year, members of the Atlanta Senior Golf Association took part.

In addition to the action on the links, a number of honors were presented. Virginia Newell was honored for her community advocacy with an award sponsored by veteran golfer Geneva Brown and the Winston Lake Senior Golf Association. Members of the family of the late James E. Blaylock also received an award. It was accepted by Reginald Blaylock. Cheryl Blaylock thanked the Winston Lake Senior Golf Association and announced that the family will donate $5,000 to the Association.
James E. Blaylock’s son, Ronald Blaylock, a successful New York-based investment banker, started the tournament to honor his father, an avid golfer and noted community servant.
