Sound Counsel, who received the top award in the performance competition in April, traveled to Raleigh on Sept. 20 to proudly represent the Piedmont Triad in the Performing Arts division of the N.C. Senior Games/Silver Arts competition.

There were a variety of excellent performers, an enthusiastic crowd, and wonderful staff and show hosts that made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We performed early in the program, so while we waited for the results, it was fun to be entertained by many very talented seniors. It made us grateful for the special gifts with which so many are blessed.

After the results were tabulated, we were honored and excited to be awarded the Gold Medal for our division from the very distinguished panel of judges. We were thrilled to see several people from the Triad at the show and we returned to the Piedmont as your champions!
