The Chronicle has announced the Chronicle Cares Initiative awards scholarships to My Little Genius’ applicants based on demonstrated financial need and an agreement to perform volunteer service with the center to increase early childhood opportunities and community involvement.

Eligible families must have one or more children enrolled at My Little Genius’ daycare who are between the ages of six weeks and 12 years of age and who reside in Forsyth County. One member of each family receiving the scholarship agrees to volunteer a minimum of one hour per week during the length of scholarship.

Parents should submit a scholarship application at My Little Genius’. Scholarships will be awarded for one year and disbursed weekly. In addition, students must continue to be enrolled during the duration of the scholarship timeframe. If a family withdraws their child or children before the end of the scholarship term, the scholarship will end at that time.

Each scholarship awarded will be a maximum of $2,500 annually. The Chronicle Cares Initiative will award four scholarships each year.  Deadline to apply is December 1, 2019.

The Chronicle Cares scholarship is non-renewable. Only families that have paid their registration fee are eligible to apply. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.
