The Forsyth County Union Missionary Union of Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina, Inc. held a celebration of history and legacy commemorating 112 years, building on the foundation of God’s love.

The guest speaker for the event was Reverend Dr. Sherri Arnold-Graham. Dr. Graham is the executive secretary/treasurer of the Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina Inc.  Her sermon was titled “The Law of Inheritance Sub Title (When is your Then).”

Other program participants included: Reverend Randell Cain, Jr., Bishop Sherwood Davis and Reverend Glenn Pettiford.

God was truly in the house.  We are grateful to the great Dr. Serenus T. Churn Sr., who is the pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, for hosting this great celebration.  We were able to continue a dialogue through scripture informing them of their church’s heritage and legacy.  We conveyed the message of God that they are still a very important part of our great convention.  The Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention is still alive and well.  They have not gone anywhere!

Mr. Ralph Meadows represented his mother Mrs. Alma Barber (our third union president) in song with two wonderful selections.  He surely ushered us in the presence of the Lord.  We thank God for his music conveying God is doing a mighty thing in the Forsyth County Missionary Union of Woman’s Baptist Home & Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina. The other churches’ involvement was highlighted as well.

This Great Union was started in 1910 at First Baptist Church, 700 Highland Avenue.  There were so many wonderful women associated with this Great Union.  To God be the Glory for the great things he has done through those faithful missionaries.
