The Winston-Salem chapter of Top Teens of America inducted seven new Top Teens Sunday, Nov. 19, at Brown & Douglas Community Center. The event was hosted by Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and presided by Top Teens of America Chapter President, teen Christian King. The invocation was provided by Chaplain, teen Camden Glenn, the Purpose was provided by 1st vice president, teen Victoria Thompson, the Motto was provided by 2nd vice president Madison Haith, and the TTA History provided by teen Jayla Paige Thomas. 

The seven Top Teens inducted Saturday were: Jasmine Wood Davis, Kyndall Dove, Myriah Howie, Jalaa Miller, Korbin Miller, Sophia Speaks, and Alexa Summey. 

Additional Top Teens officers for 2023-2024 are: Briann Edmonson, corresponding & financial secretary; Camryn King, asst. recording secretary; Londyn Knox, treasurer; Camden Dobson, sergeant-at-arms; Sarai Rasheed, historian; and Tyler Bullock, parliamentarian.

Top Teens of America (TTA) is the number one thrust program of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), that provides all teens, regardless of their ethnic or socio-economic status, the opportunity to receive extracurricular support, career, and character development training, along with key community volunteer opportunities. The Winston-Salem chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is a national organization that provides community service throughout the United States and Jamaica. 

Top Ladies, Top Teens and Lords are focusing on the needs and trying to make a difference in the community. Our national theme is: “TLOD, impacting our future through positive interventions on the lives of our youth, our community. and our legacy through effective volunteerism.” Our goal is to move our programs and projects forward with a vision of accomplishments.

About Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.: TLOD is a professional volunteer organization that mentors the Top Teens of America. We work to increase effective leadership opportunities for Top Teens and impact women in our communities through Status of Women with Back to Work initiatives. We also work hard to empower our senior citizens with knowledge and resources to live quality, healthy and productive lives. TLOD, Inc. works to maintain and enhance various communities through beautification programs, such as adoption of a street here in Winston-Salem, and going to various institutions to create and maintain flower beds to beautify our city. We focus on transforming lives and building stronger families and communities as we strengthen our mission and brand through community engagement and partnerships.
