Urban League job fair starts Oct. 7

The Winston-Salem Urban League’s Careers for the 21st Century Training Seminars and Career Fair will take place Monday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Wake Forest Biotech Place, 575 Patterson Ave.

David Mounts, CEO of Inmar, will give the keynote speech at the opening session on Oct. 7 at 10 a.m. A series of training sessions designed to better prepare participants for the Oct. 8 Career Fair, will be held after the opening session. Human resources representatives of the major industries in the Triad, including banking/finance, manufacturing, hospitals, hospitality and food service will be on hand.

Mounts joined Inmar, which offers a complex unique commerce network that helps retailers and manufacturers connect with consumers, as CEO in 2010.

He has extensive operations and financial management experience in the U.S., Europe and Asia. His expertise in investment, innovation, industry collaboration and corporate development has supported transformative product innovation and the growth of information-driven networks spanning more than 200 countries. He has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as chairman of the Wharton Alumni Executive Board. He is also on the Board of Visitors at Wake Forest University Schools of Business and a member of the United Way of Forsyth County board.

The training seminar and career fair are free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to come early and bring résumés.
