Winston Lake YMCA E-learning receives donation from Forsyth County Sunday School Union
The Forsyth County Sunday School Union presented a check for $700 to Winston Lake YMCA E- learning Program on Thursday, Oct. 15. The donation will provide assistance with the virtual learning program offered for the children in the Forsyth County School System who don’t have access to computers in their homes. The Winston Lake YMCA is a dedicated organization in the Black community that has provided programs for the betterment of our children and community for many years.
There are 22 churches in the FCSSU that meet on the third Sunday in each month at various member churches in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Sunday School Union’s mission is to support the Sunday School (Christian Education) administrative and teaching ministry of Churches of the Lordship of Jesus Christ according to Biblical Truths, through training, missionary giving, fellowship, and programs.
The FCSSU has been in existence over 115 years and has generously made donations to organizations in our community as a part of our missionary outreach. We believe in supporting organizations that impact the lives of others in a meaningful way. We salute Winston Lake YMCA as they strive to help meet the educational needs of our youth during this challenging time of COVID-19 and its effects on the children and their parents.
