Aryanah Scales came in second place in the North Carolina Jr. Miss OES Queen Pageant at the Annual Youth Assemblage in Raleigh on July 22.

Aryanah represented the Western Region of North Carolina.

This Pageant is held annually to raise money for scholarships for Order of Eastern Star (OES) youth. This year, the four contestants raised over $15,000.

Aryanah is a member of Mary L. Fair Gleaner Branch #137 in Winston-Salem, which is the female youth group of Sisters of Bivouac Chapter #530 Order of the Eastern Star.  She is a rising 10th grader at Atkins High School and she attends United Metropolitan Baptist Church.

“The entire Western Region thanks everyone for their support on this endeavor to support Aryanah Scales and our youth,” officials said in a news release.
