SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE

Local minister, author and educator Alicia M. Bailey has written a Christian book titled “God’s Fresh Air.” To celebrate the release of this new book, Bailey held a Winston-Salem Book Release Celebration at the Old Salem Visitors Center on June 4.

“God’s Fresh Air,” which hit bookshelves on June 4, is an inspirational guidebook that inspires women to “live on purpose” by living the life that God intended for them to live.

“This book communicates to women a spiritual approach to enjoy-ing and cherishing a life of purpose through the word of God, real-world experiences, and practical teachings,” according to a news release. Like many women today, Alicia M. Bailey needed to find out who she was so that she could breathe “God’s Fresh Air.” She struggled with knowing her purpose and thinking to herself, “Why have I been placed on earth?”

She had been given many talents and gifts from God, but what were they for? There had to be more for her than just going through the motions of life because she simply existed. And she didn’t want to simply exist anymore. Instead, she desired to do more with her life. She wanted to make her mark on earth and bring glory to God in every part of life. In other words, she wanted to breathe “God’s Fresh Air.” But how could she do that if she didn’t know who she was or what she was called to do?

Like Alicia, many women find themselves longing to live a life of fulfillment and purpose with God. “God’s Fresh Air” offers spiritual principles and encouragement to women of all ages, allowing them to inhale a new perspective of who they are and exhale the glory of God in their lives.

Bailey is the CEO/founder of Alicia Bailey Ministries and Women Ministers Network Inc., a non-profit organization designed to empower and connect women preachers and ministers. Bailey is a native of Winston-Salem. She was born into a Christian family of many singers and ministers including gospel legend Pastor Shirley Caesar.

Bailey currently serves as the Interim principal at Southwest Elementary School in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.

She currently serves under the spiritual guidance and is a member of Love and Faith Christian Fellowship Church, where Michael Thomas is Senior Pastor.

“God’s Fresh Air” by Alicia M. Bailey can be found in stores or online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon and Books-A-Million.
