40+ State Company is excited to announce the appointment of Lea Henderson-Lagesse as their new executive director. Lea brings with her a wealth of experience in the events and arts industry, and has been an integral part of 40+ Stage Company since 2019.

“I am humbled to join 40+ Stage Company in this capacity,” said Lea. “It is an honor to be chosen for this role, and I look forward to leading our talented team as we continue to bring quality performances to our community.”

As executive director, Henderson-Lagesse will oversee all operations at 40+ Stage Company, including fundraising, marketing, production management and strategic planning. She will also be responsible for implementing new initiatives to ensure that 40+ Stage continues its mission of bringing quality live performances to audiences throughout the region.

In addition to her work at 40+ Stage Company, Henderson-Lagesse enjoys volunteering with other arts-based organizations and taking in a good local baseball game. With her leadership, 40+  Stage looks forward to continuing its commitment to providing excellent entertainment for many years to come.

40+ Stage Company is also greatly appreciative of John Hohn for his pioneering role as the original executive producer and co-founder of the stage company. He will still be very involved with 40+ Stage, lending a hand in outreach programs, fundraising efforts, and other areas. His hard work, dedication, and vision were essential in getting the organization off the ground and establishing a strong foundation that has allowed them to thrive.

In announcing his stepping down from executive director, Hohn said, “Prospects for the company could not be brighter. We are grateful for the loyal following and the generous financial support from our donors, and the consideration so many talented individuals have given us by auditioning and performing.”
