The 13th Annual Band Aid for Burn Survivors concert will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13 at The Garage, 110 West 7th St.

Local talent Jerry Chapman and the Acoustic Herbivores, The HoldUp and Sean Mettler will donate their performances. JJ Johnson, a local comedian and member of the Comedy Potluck Improv Troupe of Winston-Salem, will act as the emcee for the event. Local businesses will donate monetary support and in-kind gifts for door and raffle prizes.

“Band Aid is sure to be a rockin’ good time,” assures Katherine Taylor, Winston-Salem Jaycees president. “I hope you’ll join me in backing this annual event which supports burn survivors throughout North Carolina. Together, we can make this fundraiser a smashing success!

In previous years, the Jaycees – a leadership organization targeting young professionals ages 21 – 40 – have hosted the event as the Band Aid for Burn Victims. All proceeds from the concert will continue to go to the NC Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, which is dedicated to providing specialized medical care and rehabilitative services to patients who are recovering from burn injuries. The Center is also a leader in education and burn prevention efforts, laboratory research and patient and family support.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the bands will begin playing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are discounted to $7 for college students (with proper ID).   Learn more at  HYPERLINK “http://www.wsjaycees.org” www.wsjaycees.org.
