Wake Forest fullback Tommy Bohanon and defensive back Chibuikem “Kenny” Okoro are headed to the pros.

Bohanon, a 6-2, 245-pound fullback, was selected in the seventh round of last week’s NFL Draft by the New York Jets. Okoro was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers.

Bohanon is the first Wake Forest fullback drafted since Ovie Mughelli went in the fourth round to the Baltimore Ravens in 2003. Bohanon is also just the third Wake Forest fullback to have his name called in the draft, joining Mughelli and Neil MacLean who was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1958.

Bohanon had 50 career carries for 160 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 51 passes for 405 yards and seven career touchdowns.
Okoro, a 6-1, 190-pound defensive back, started 37 career games for Wake Forest. A versatile defender, Okoro started 29 games at corner between 2009-11 before splitting time between corner and safety in 2012. He finished his career with seven interceptions and 77 yards in returns.
