Henry celebrates pastoral anniversary

Winston-Salem native Rev. Cedric Henry celebrated his seventh pastoral anniversary at Christian View Missionary Baptist Church in Spencer, Va. on April 14.

He is one of the sons of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Walkertown, where he was ordained under the leadership of the late Rev. I. L. Anthony.

The celebration began on Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m. with a song and praise celebration sponsored by the Pastor’s Aid. The program featured songs from each choir in the music ministry of Christian View and praise dances.

On Sunday, April 14, the guest preacher for the morning was Rev. John Torian, associate minister of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Winston-Salem. The celebration closed out with guest preacher Rev. Johnnie Taylor, who was accompanied by his choir and congregation from Rising Star Baptist Church of Eden. Rev. Taylor is also a son of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
