Nearly 200 cars circled First Waughtown Baptist Church (FWBC), 838 Moravia Street, in a drive-by parade for Senior Pastor Dr. Dennis W. Bishop on Sunday, June 28.  FWBC members and friends honked, waved, displayed posters and floated balloons as they greeted Pastor Bishop after three months of virtual worship.  The parade was the brainchild of Min. Tamara Moore, an associate minister of FWBC. A team of about 15 members planned and staged the event.

As the last car passed, Pastor Bishop thanked all the planners for their efforts and expressed his love for everyone who played a part in the social distanced family reunion. The church has not held in-person services since March 15. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will continue to be held virtually until further notice.
