In cities across the country, bridges often represent a dividing line for communities. As part of the organization’s celebration of 100 years of service, last weekend the United Way of Forsyth County hosted “Bridging 52,” an event designed to blur that dividing line and bring the entire community together.
Earlier this week the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS) gave an update on the renovations at Crystal Towers. According to residents, not much has been done to improve the living conditions inside the aging 11-story highrise.
