Judi Wallace helps Trinity Lawson secure her helmet Saturday during the dedication program for the new “Safety Town” bike training course at the intersection of North Cherry Street and Northwest Crawford Place (next to the tennis courts). The course, which grew out of the Forsyth County Health Department-initiated Safe Routes to School program at Kimberley Park Elementary School, includes a practice area and test area for kids to develop such skills as riding straight in bike lanes, looking over their shoulder without swerving and practicing arm signals.
