It’s that time of year again for the Elite Eight Turkey Bowl. Held annually, every Thanksgiving morning before people stuff their faces with turkey and trimmings, the alumni from the Elite Eight Schools gear up for some football.

The game will take place Thanksgiving morning at Carver High School starting at 10 a.m. North Forsyth is coming as the two-time defending champions, so everyone will be looking to dethrone the champs.

On top of giving the community some good flag football action, the Elite Eight Alumni Association also collects canned goods to give to food banks and other local nonprofit organizations.

The event continues to grow in popularity and notoriety every year. Organizers say the biggest pleasure they get from the event is being able to bring alumni together for fun and giving during the holiday season.
