In a statement, Rep. Alma Adams says:

Earlier this week the 12th Congressional District and state of North Carolina lost one of it closest confidants, colleagues and a pure advocate with the passing of Senator Emeritus Earline Parmon.

In Earline’s honor, my district office will be closed on today, Monday, March 21, 2016. For assistance please feel free to call my Washington office at 202-225-1510.

A dedicated public servant Earline Parmon dedicated her life to fighting for justice and fighting for our communities. From her work on the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners and in the North Carolina General Assembly, to her most recent service on behalf of North Carolina’s 12th Congressional District, Earline Parmon has left an undeniable mark on North Carolinians across the state.

Earline Parmon was an obedient lover of the Lord and his blessings in her life could be seen through her positive spirit and joyous energy. Our hearts will continue to flow for her children, her grandchildren, and all of her family and friends.

My office and staff are forever grateful for her presence in our lives; the world is a richer place for her having been in it. The legacy she established will continue to live on.

Earline W. Parmon’s Funeral Will be held today, Monday March 21 at noon at Emanuel Baptist Church in Winston Salem, 1075 Shalimar Drive.

Alma S. Adams, Ph.D.
