Against the backdrop of the highly competitive, costly food-service field, the participants in this program, all people of color, rent space for $500 a month, giving them a jumpstart to their dreams.

Give it to the People® (GITTP) is a new business that is throwing a launch party on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 101 S. Elm St. in Greensboro from 2 to 4 p.m., to introduce themselves to the people of the Triad.
